The Coach
Hey, I'm Sean. I'm the founder of the Santa Cruz Pickleball Academy and I would be thrilled to be your coach. I have a long background in coaching and developing athletes of all levels. From Division 1 athletes to grade school campers. I'm an ex competitive tennis and basketball player myself, and I currently play 5.0+ Dupr pickleball. I enjoy sharing my love for the sport and passion for teaching with the Santa Cruz Community. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, let's connect and improve your game!
Individual Lessons
Private pickleball lessons offer players the fastest path to improvement by providing individualized attention and a personalized learning experience. Unlike group play, private coaching allows the instructor to focus entirely on your unique strengths, challenges, and goals. Whether you’re looking to master fundamentals like footwork and shot selection, refine advanced strategies, or simply build confidence on the court, one-on-one sessions ensure every minute is tailored to your growth.
$80 for an hour session
Group Lessons
Group pickleball lessons are the perfect balance of quality coaching, shared fun, and affordability. With two or more players, you’ll still receive hands-on instruction and personalized feedback, but you’ll also enjoy the energy and camaraderie that comes from learning alongside others. Group lessons allow you to practice real-game scenarios, build teamwork, and push each other to improve, all while keeping costs lower than one-on-one coaching.
2 people: $40 each
3 people: $30 each
4 people: $25 each
5+ people: $20 each
